Inspired Brilliance

You know, there are some moments in your day that you just need to kick back and laugh. I had about 5 minutes today to do just that. I would like to share what I found. Ordinarily I'd would have said that some people have wayyyy to much time on there hands, but this is not one of those times. The first one is a Matrix inspired ping-pong game. Truly, it is brilliant. You'll find it at Matrix Ping Pong

The second is actually two things. Classic movie shorts, ie: 30 seconds long, of War Of The Worlds and Jaws. Both starring cute little animated bunnies. You'll find them at Bunny War of the Worlds
Bunny Jaws

And third, Tom Cruise Kills Oprah. Nuff said. I laughed for days.

That's about it for now. Enjoy. I really should get some work done now.

"We Grow Great By Dreams"

by Woodrow Wilson
We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them, nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which come always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.

I think to start I should explain my reasoning for the name of this news blog. "We Grow Great by Dreams" is the title of a poem by Woodrow Wilson. I discovered it around twelve years ago, and it literally changed my entire outlook on my career. I printed it, framed it and see it every day I work in the studio. It helps me to focus on why I do what I do.

This site has been newly updated and I would like to thank my friend and editor Lou Anders for his help, support and yes, constant prodding to get it done! Lou is the Editorial Director for Pyr. A new Science Fiction and Fantasy imprint of Prometheus Books. I've recently worked with Lou on three cover projects, The Prodigal Troll by Charles Coleman Finlay, Tides by Scott Mackay and Genetopia by Keith Brooke. These are wonderful books to read and incredibly lush and vibrant stories to illustrate. I highly recommend them and the entire line of books by Pyr.

Well, that's it for now. I hope you enjoy the site and check back often to see the new work as it appears. Till then...
